BOE showed the S7 as a trade-show demo at AWE 2026 in Shanghai on 2026-03-12, through its automotive-display subsidiary BOE-VTI. The company declares a 0.12-inch Micro LED microdisplay paired with a diffractive optical waveguide, reaching up to 2,000 nits at the eye to project navigation and real-time speed data into a cyclist's field of view, plus voice wake-up and voice-based group-ride coordination.

No source, official or independent, mentions an SDK, a developer API, or any way to build software for it. BOE has not disclosed a weight, a battery figure or a field of view either, consistent with a device still at the demo stage rather than a shipping product.

LeikeJi, reporting from the show floor on 2026-03-14, described the S7 more as BOE showing off its own optical hardware than as a finished consumer product, with no detailed launch plan given at the time. LeikeJi did credit it with a display-quality edge over an already-launched rival cycling glasses it compared it to on the same show floor.

BOE said in its own press materials that it planned to launch the S7 jointly with an automaker in June 2026. No source found by this research, including Chinese trade coverage through mid-2026, confirms that launch happened, and no price or shipping date has surfaced. The S7 is not something to buy today, and it carries none of the developer tools this catalog looks for.
