Chamelo Smart Glasses (Falcon / Music Shield / Aura / Shield / Prime / Dusk)

Chamelo sells six electrochromic sunglasses under one name: solar-only Falcon, manual-slider Shield and Prime, speaker-equipped Music Shield, color-changing Aura and audio-equipped Dusk Classic. All use a Japanese-made liquid-crystal lens film that switches tint or color in about 0.1 second. None has a camera, a display or an SoC.

Three outlets tested pieces of this lineup. MacSources liked the Prime's Autopilot auto-tint sensor and a comfortable, light frame, though it charges only through a proprietary magnetic pogo-pin cable. Gizmodo found the Music Shield's speakers loud enough over ambient noise, but flagged calling bugs. Hat and Sunglasses, covering Music Shield, Aura and Dusk Classic, praised the instant tint change and UV400 protection, while reporting scratch-prone lens coating and shipping delays.

On the question this site exists to answer, the reviews agree: Gizmodo listed no app support and no voice assistant on the Music Shield, and Chamelo's own materials list no SDK or developer program for any of the six models. The advertised app control only adjusts tint, and Hat and Sunglasses even found the Dusk Classic's app unreliable.

Nobody building an app has anything to build on here, and none of the six accepts prescription lenses. Someone who wants tint-changing sunglasses, with or without speakers, is the buyer; someone comparing a software platform is not.
