The BT-45C headset on its own has neither processor nor battery: it is a USB-C display (DisplayPort Alt Mode) that depends on a connected Android or Windows host.

USD 1,599 at Knoxlabs, a US reseller, on 2026-09-06. Epson UK showed GBP 1,380 with VAT that day. Epson US lists the model as discontinued, so this is remaining channel stock, and no price in yuan or reais was confirmed.

The Epson Moverio BT-45C is a binocular Si-OLED AR headset for field service and remote assistance, announced by Epson America in October 2022. XMReality recommended it for remote visual assistance, praising sharp detail and low latency, and Keypoint Intelligence found its ergonomics and weight balance improved over earlier Moverio models.
The base BT-45C has no processor or battery: it tethers by USB-C to an Android or Windows host. The BT-45CS variant adds a handheld controller with a Snapdragon XR1 chip, Android 10, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a 13MP camera. Both models are rated IP52 and MIL-STD-810H drop-tested, per Epson's spec sheet.
Epson answers the question this catalog exists to ask more openly than most: it publishes a Moverio SDK, downloadable after accepting a license, with no partner gate found. Unbound XR, the reseller listing it for business buyers, called out a flip-up design that clears the display without removing the headset.
This is not for everyone, and Epson has discontinued the line. Keypoint Intelligence called the 34-degree field of view narrow, XMReality noted a learning curve for the see-through display, and Unbound XR said it is not suited for gaming or entertainment. At $1,599 through reseller Knoxlabs, it is channel stock of a discontinued product.
Verdict
Keypoint Intelligence and XMReality praised the BT-45C's comfort and Si-OLED clarity for remote assistance, and Epson publishes an open Moverio SDK for developers, but Keypoint Intelligence called the 34-degree field of view narrow, and Epson has since discontinued the line.
