GETTER-X is a monocular, DLP pico-projector head-up display concept from XPERT INC, a small South Korean company. Its Kickstarter campaign page lists a standalone Android OS with direct Google Play access, a 12MP first-person camera, two noise-canceling microphones and a 1,900-nit virtual screen adjustable up to 72 inches, reachable over Bluetooth 5.0 or run on its own without a phone.
Whether it can run custom apps is unclear: XPERT INC's page names a planned 'developer platform for custom app creation', but no working developer portal, signup flow or documentation was found in this research, and the manufacturer's own Korean-language site returned an access-restricted page on every check. The standalone Android base at least opens the door to sideloading through the Play Store itself.
The Kickstarter campaign closed in December 2024 having raised US$21,204 from 40 backers, well past its US$5,000 goal, with delivery promised for March 2025. XPERT INC's own update from April 2025 still cited unresolved glitches, and no later source found in this research confirms the glasses ever reached a backer or went on public sale.
