Our review

For

  • Halliday declares up to 1,600 nits and a 25.2-degree field of view for the binocular display.
  • Prescription lenses are built into the same three-layer lens, per Halliday's own product page.
  • Bluetooth 5.4 with LE Audio and four microphones are declared in Halliday's specifications.
  • A 12-month warranty is stated on Halliday's official site for every buyer.

Against

  • No public SDK exists: Halliday's own developer page returns a 404 error.
  • The glasses and app interface support only English, per Halliday's own site.
  • It has not shipped: Halliday's own page still shows pre-order Batch 1 as of September 2026.
  • The 210mAh battery is rated for only 12 hours before its next charge, per Halliday.
  • Sold only through Halliday's own site, with no other listed retail channel.

No independent review of the Halliday G2 was found. It is a camera-free pair with a binocular waveguide display, two microLED engines projecting a green 600x300-pixel image per eye at up to 1,600 nits, a 210mAh battery rated for 12 hours, and prescription lenses built into the lens. Halliday sells it at US$599, shipping non-prescription units from September 15, 2026 to a first batch of 6,000 pre-orders.

Can a developer write an app for it? Not yet: Halliday's own developer page returns a 404 error, and no SDK or API has been published.

Halliday's own product page places G2 as the successor to a ring-controlled first generation shown at CES 2025, per TechCrunch's hands-on, replacing the ring with a touch bar and action button. With no unit shipped, none of Halliday's own nits, field-of-view or battery figures have been checked by a third party.

Verdict

No independent review of this device was found as of September 6, 2026. Halliday G2 is a camera-free binocular waveguide display at US$599, but its interface is English only, sold only via Halliday's own site from September 15, 2026. It suits an English-speaking early adopter, not anyone needing proof or an SDK now.
