HUAWEI Vision Glass

Huawei sells this one as cinema glasses, and the description fits. The spec page gives two 0.49-inch Micro OLED panels at 1920x1080 per eye, 480 nits, a 41-degree field and 112 g, two open speakers and a myopia dial covering 0 to 500 degrees per eye. Reviews describe a 120-inch screen seen from four metres.

For a developer the answer is short: there is nothing on board to program. The fixed USB-C cable on the left temple carries DisplayPort 1.2 video and audio and nothing else, and Huawei's support page lists compatibility by video-output standard, not by software. No SoC, no operating system, no store, no sideload. Whatever you write runs on the phone or the PC that feeds it.

The three Chinese reviews agree on the picture. ZOL cited 4500+ PPI and 90 percent of DCI-P3, and liked the acoustic isolation; smzdm highlighted the Rheinland eye-protection certificate, the low heat and the automatic switch between 2D and 3D; itheat called it genuinely portable, but wants an external controller for games and found local content thin without Huawei Video.

Who it is not for: anyone with more than 500 degrees of myopia or any astigmatism, which smzdm called short; anyone who wants a cable-free session, since the glasses have no battery at all; and anyone outside China. List price RMB 2,999; the RMB 2,899 presale and the RMB 2,199 later at retail were promotions.
