Not a product on sale: it is a reference design and prototype shown by MediaTek (a B2B chip maker) to hardware partners at MWC 2026. No source has published a price, and more than one source says explicitly that it is unclear whether MediaTek will release a consumer version.

Our review
For
- MediaTek's own MWC materials say the phone's Dimensity 9500 chip processes the AI and runs offline.
- VR陀螺, citing Androidheadlines, calls the design discreet, less tech-forward than Meta's Ray-Ban.
- Demoed real-time scene recognition live at MWC 2026, according to EastNews Tech's coverage.
Against
- Still a prototype: MediaTek has not confirmed any consumer version will reach the market, per VR陀螺.
- No public SDK: MediaTek only shows the design to hardware partners building their own products.
- No display, camera, battery, weight or price has been published for the eyewear itself.
- MediaTek is a B2B chipmaker; entering consumer retail would be a strategic reversal, per VR陀螺.
MediaTek used Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona to show a smart glasses reference design it calls the "Omni Glasses," or the "Dimensity AI Omni Experience on Glasses." Per MediaTek's own MWC materials, the paired smartphone's Dimensity 9500 chip does all the AI computing, so the eyewear itself can stay light, running an on-device multimodal model for text, image, speech and video without needing the cloud.
The coverage treats it as a demo, not a product. VR陀螺, compiling Androidheadlines' report, calls it a "technical blueprint" MediaTek uses to show hardware partners what the Dimensity 9500 can do in a wearable, not a confirmed consumer device. Technical Tiwari and EastNews Tech both write that it is unclear whether MediaTek plans to ship a consumer version at all.
That uncertainty carries into the developer question this site exists to answer. MediaTek has not announced any SDK for the glasses: the design is shown to hardware manufacturers, not offered to independent developers, and no documentation URL exists yet.
Because nothing is for sale, there is nothing here yet for a developer, an early adopter or a shopper looking for specs: MediaTek has not published a display, camera, battery, weight or price for the eyewear, only for the concept it wraps around.
Verdict
MediaTek showed these glasses only as a technical blueprint at MWC 2026, and the outlets covering the demo call it unclear whether a consumer version will ever ship. With no SDK, no camera or battery specs, and no price disclosed, there is nothing yet for a developer to build against.
