Our review
For
- RealWear's datasheet claims a 1920x1080 Micro-OLED display over the right eye, 22-degree field.
- Ari OS 2.0 on Android 13, with a public developer portal, WearML docs and RealWear's own marketplace.
- The datasheet lists a 50MP main camera at 4K30 plus an 8MP 120-degree wide-angle camera.
- Snapdragon 662 with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and four microphones, per the datasheet.
Against
- US$2,950 on RealWear's own store, or US$140 a month on a 12-month reseller contract.
- RealWear publishes a 2,000 mAh cell but no battery-life figure at all for the Arc 3.
- Rated only IP54 and a 1-meter drop, and no ATEX or IECEx certification is claimed.
- The developer portal refused automated access, so whether partner enrollment is required is unconfirmed.
- No prescription lens of its own: RealWear mounts it over the glasses you already wear.
RealWear's datasheet puts a 1920x1080 Micro-OLED panel on a swing-arm boom in front of the right eye, 22-degree field, with a 50MP main camera at 4K30, an 8MP 120-degree second camera, four microphones and a 179-gram mount worn over safety glasses. No independent test was found up to 2026-09-06.
On whether you can write an app for it, RealWear lists Ari OS 2.0 on Android 13, a Snapdragon 662, 4GB of RAM and 64GB, a public developer program, WearML voice-markup articles, its own marketplace and the Ari Cloud fleet layer. The portal refused automated access, so unsigned-APK sideloading without partner enrollment stays unconfirmed.
Not for a tight budget or an explosive atmosphere: US$2,950 on RealWear's store or US$140 a month on a 12-month contract, a 2,000 mAh cell with no runtime published, IP54 and a 1-meter drop with no ATEX or IECEx claim.
Verdict
No independent review of the Arc 3 was found up to 2026-09-06, so every number here comes from RealWear itself: a 179-gram monocular boom display on Android 13, US$2,950 with a year of support. For a fleet with its own developers, since Ari OS has a public portal and WearML docs; not for a small budget.
