The Solos AirGo 3 carries no camera and no display: two open-ear speakers, a beamforming microphone array, Bluetooth 5.2, IP67 water resistance, and about 35 g of weight, built around Solos's SmartHinge design that lets the same temples snap onto interchangeable Argon, Xeon or Helium frame fronts priced from $199 to $299.
Laptop Mag, testing it for a month, found the setup easy and the ChatGPT-powered translation fast enough that speech recognition never once struggled. Gearbrain's longer-term review praised the always-on AI mode and called its real-time translation reliable across commuting, work and exercise.
XDA's review lands the hardest, scoring the glasses 6.5 out of 10 specifically over the AI: ChatGPT access has to be toggled manually in the Solos app every time, which the reviewer calls the opposite of the effortless experience Solos advertises. Both XDA and Laptop Mag also flag the touch controls as hard to find by feel.
There is no SDK for the casual developer here either. Solos sells a $1,999 kit that bundles an AirGo V unit with an AirGo 3 unit and a year of support, restricted by its own terms to running only on Solos hardware, and as of this research the package shows as unavailable to purchase. With every core feature routed through the companion app, the AirGo 3 fits someone who wants audio and voice AI, not a wearable camera or an AR display.
Verdict
The AirGo 3 fits someone who wants all-day audio and a real-time translator without a camera or a subscription, at $199 to $299. It does not fit anyone chasing a frictionless voice assistant, since XDA scored the whole package 6.5 out of 10 for a ChatGPT toggle that never runs on its own.
