Solos AirGo Vision

The Solos AirGo Vision adds a swappable camera front to the same SmartHinge temples used on the audio-only AirGo 3, so the wearer can pop in a camera-equipped frame or a plain one. Solos's own spec sheet lists the camera as photo-only, capped at 2048x1944 pixels, with no video recording and no megapixel figure given, on a 42 g frame rated IP67 and priced at $299 for the camera version alone.

BGR called the ChatGPT-4o assistant genuinely useful for personalized, location-based answers, and both BGR and Smartglasses-Test.de confirmed the frame-swapping itself works exactly as advertised. The Virtual Reviewer added that open-ear audio still lets the wearer track their surroundings while asking the AI a question.

Where reviews agree is that the hardware behind the AI falls short. BGR calls the photo quality not very good, and Smartglasses-Test.de describes the same images as washed-out with blown highlights. Both reviews also mark the speakers down, BGR as sub-par and Smartglasses-Test.de as mediocre, and BGR separately flags the always-on camera as a privacy concern.

There is no SDK here for outside developers either, only the same $1,999 hardware-locked program Solos sells for the AirGo 3, shown as unavailable to buy as of this research. Smartglasses-Test.de puts it plainly: at $299 this costs more than the camera-free AirGo 3, for a camera whose main selling point is that it exists, not that it takes good pictures.
