TOZO's AIVU AI Glasses are a 45 g pair built around a binocular green MicroLED waveguide at 640x480 and a 30 degree field of view, plus a single 2MP camera. Ben Sin, reviewing an early unit, found that camera limited to on-the-spot object recognition and translation, calling it discreet because the in-lens UI is nearly invisible to anyone standing nearby.

There is no SDK, developer API or sideloading here. The core feature is connecting your own ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude account inside TOZO's companion app: an app integration, not a platform outsiders can build on. JayBratt frames the on-device, no-storage processing as a privacy strength, but neither he nor Ben Sin describes any way for a third party to run its own software on the glasses.

Fit is still unsettled: JayBratt devotes a chapter to 'Challenges for Faces/Glasses' and leaves open whether the HUD is fully binocular, revisiting both questions weeks after his first hands-on. TOZO rates the 214 mAh battery at 10 or more hours and calls the frame prescription compatible, though JayBratt treats that as merely possible, not guaranteed for every degree.

As of September 2026 AIVU is still an active Kickstarter campaign, not a retail product: the USD 399 listed here is a single unit pledge, and the published reviews are hands-on looks at pre-launch units TOZO gave to a few creators, not independent retail tests.
