Memo One is the first pair of AI glasses from MemoMind, a company incubated by Chinese projector maker XGIMI, shown at CES 2026 on 2026-01-05. At the show, BGR's José Adorno compared the dual-eye display against single-lens rivals and found the text sharper and brighter, and thought the live Mandarin-to-English translation demo worked well.
MemoMind builds the glasses around what it calls a multi-LLM operating system, switching between OpenAI, Microsoft Azure and Alibaba Qwen models for translation, summarization, note-taking and reminders. No camera ships on any first-batch unit, BGR's hands-on confirms, and neither MemoMind's press release nor BGR names an SDK, developer portal or app-store plan for the glasses.
Whether oculos.io's readers could write software for Memo One is not answerable yet: with no public SDK named anywhere, the question sits open until MemoMind says more. BGR also found the software needing tweaks and wrote that no company, XGIMI included, has cracked the balance between showing on-screen information and keeping natural eye contact.
MemoMind expects to price Memo One at about US$599, a figure BGR heard match at the show, across eight frame styles and five temples with prescription-lens and sunglasses options. None of that is a confirmed sale yet: preorders are only 'opening soon', targeting the second quarter of 2026, no exact ship date given.
Verdict
BGR's CES 2026 hands-on found Memo One's dual-eye display sharper and brighter than single-eye rivals, and its live Mandarin-to-English translation worked well, but the first batch ships without a camera or a named developer program, and it remains a preorder near US$599 with no confirmed ship date.
