Our review
For
- 87870: the X1 chip and its 3 ms of latency keep the virtual screen visibly steadier.
- Sina Finance's review: 82 g for long sessions, and interpolation from 90 Hz to 120 Hz.
- note.com lists versatile USB-C hosts: iPhone, PC and Steam Deck on one cable.
- Xreal sells its own prescription insert for the One, on offer at US$49.90 against a US$149.90 list.
Against
- The launch release promises an SDK, but Xreal's device docs never name the One line.
- Sina Finance: no dioptre adjustment on board, so short-sighted buyers pay for an insert.
- AndroGuider: the picture washes out in strong sunlight, and the cable is always attached.
- note.com saw the host warm up and sound leak in quiet places; Sina Finance, the glasses themselves.
- Xreal Japan announced the end of sales on 21/04/2026, leaving only resale stock there.
The One carries the same X1 chip as the One Pro, and the resemblance stops there: a larger 0.68-inch Sony Micro-OLED per eye at 1920x1080, but 50 degrees against 57, 600 nits against 700, 82 g, and US$499 list against US$599. 87870 reports 3 ms from motion to photon and reads the virtual screen as steadier; Sina Finance added interpolation from 90 Hz to 120 Hz.
For a developer this one is unresolved. The launch release promises an SDK for the One series, but Xreal's own device documentation lists the Light kits and the Air line and never names the One, so this catalogue records openness as unknown instead of assuming it. Video output is not in doubt: USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode.
The reviews are consistent about the costs. AndroGuider said the image washes out in strong sunlight and the cable never leaves; note.com reported sound leaking in quiet places and a host that warms up, and Sina Finance saw the glasses themselves warm up. 唯界网, on Tencent News, found the 0DoF gimbal mode easy to get sick in. Sina Finance noted the absent dioptre adjustment.
Two facts about buying. The prescription insert comes from Xreal itself, US$149.90 list and US$49.90 on offer, out of stock on 05/09/2026; and Xreal Japan announced the end of sales on 21 April 2026, while the European store still had it on 06/09/2026. 6DoF needs the US$99 Xreal Eye, the clip-on that carries the only camera.
Verdict
The One is the display half of the family: the X1 chip, 3 ms of latency as reported by 87870, 50 degrees, 600 nits and 82 g, at US$499. The developer half is unresolved, and Xreal's device documentation never names the line: it suits whoever wants a private screen, not whoever will write code.
