Amazon reportedly developing 'Jayhawk' AR glasses with display to rival Meta

Amazon is reportedly developing consumer AR glasses codenamed 'Jayhawk', featuring microphones, speakers, a camera and a full-color display in one eye, using display components reportedly sourced from Chinese firm Meta-Bounds. A consumer launch is targeted for late 2026 or early 2027, with deep Alexa integration positioning the device as both a shopping gateway and lifestyle product. Amazon is reportedly also developing a separate enterprise-focused model, codenamed 'Amelia', for its logistics network, targeting a more aggressive Q2 2026 launch.
