Apple's first smart glasses reportedly pushed to a late-2027 launch
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported that Apple now aims to reveal its first smart glasses in late 2026 with mass production beginning around Q2 2027 and a commercial launch in 'late 2027', a slip from earlier reporting that had pointed to an early-2027 release, with first-year shipments projected at 3-5 million units. The glasses are expected to look like ordinary eyeglasses (not a headset), with built-in cameras, speakers and microphones for photos, video and iPhone interaction, but reportedly without a display.
