IDC forecasts 13.6 million smart glasses shipments and $5.1 billion in revenue for 2026

IDC forecast on June 15, 2026 that global display-less smart glasses shipments will reach approximately 13.6 million units in full-year 2026, generating $5.1 billion in revenue, and grow to 27.3 million units by 2030 (an 18.9% CAGR). IDC said average selling prices, near $376 in 2026, are expected to compress to about $229 by 2030 as more low-cost AI glasses enter the market.
