Samsung launches Galaxy XR (Project Moohan) headset, first Android XR device, at $1,799
Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy XR headset, codenamed Project Moohan, on October 21, 2025, priced at $1,799, undercutting Apple's $3,499 Vision Pro. It runs Google's new Android XR platform on a Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chip, with dual 3552x3840 Micro-OLED panels, 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. As the first commercial Android XR device, it establishes the software platform Samsung and Google plan to extend to smart glasses.
