RMB 1,899 at the launch on 2025-11-27 for the Wellington frame. The browline frame started at RMB 1,999 in presales on 2025-12-22. No official price in dollars or reais: a US reseller asks US$439 to US$499.

Our review
For
- PConline called it the thinnest mass-produced AI glasses it had seen, at a declared 40 g.
- SSPAI: two batteries and the case stretch Alibaba's 9-hour claim to near-endless runtime.
- SSPAI wore it with no nose-bridge pressure and praised the five-microphone array.
- The OFweek teardown confirms the 12 MP IMX681 at 3K30 behind an f/2.2 109-degree lens.
- RMB 1,899 for the Wellington frame at the launch of 2025-11-27, per Xinhua and SCMP.
Against
- No display, so the AI answers by voice only, as SuperGok and PConline both record.
- No developer portal or SDK download was found, and native third-party apps number under 20.
- SSPAI: photos and video need manual import, and the voice wake responds inconsistently.
- SSPAI: charging is cable-only, the case does not charge the glasses, and there is no multipoint.
- PConline found fine-detail recognition still limited; sold only in China.
The G1 is the S1 platform with the optics taken out. The OFweek teardown found no display hardware to disassemble, and what remains is a 40 g frame with a 12 MP Sony IMX681 shooting 3K at 30fps through an f/2.2 109-degree lens, a Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 with a BES2800, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB, and 272 mAh split across the two temples.
For a developer there is a promise and nothing to download. Alibaba has stated through Alizila that it will open an MCP protocol to third parties, but no SDK download, developer portal or sideload route was found, and native third-party apps still number under twenty. A stated plan is not a platform.
The most useful review is the one that paid for the device. SSPAI ran a long test, liked the two batteries with the charging case and the fit, then listed the rest: photos have to be imported by hand, voice wake is inconsistent, the case does not refill the glasses, and the assistant answers at too much length. PConline, which called it the thinnest mass-produced pair it had seen, still found fine-detail recognition limited.
Who it is not for: anyone who wants the S1's heads-up display, anyone outside China, and anyone who needs a water rating: IPX4 appears only on a reseller listing, with no Chinese source confirming it. Prices: RMB 1,899 at the 2025-11-27 launch, RMB 1,999 for the browline in the 2025-12-22 presale, RMB 2,297 with the endurance bundle.
Verdict
The S1 without the display: 40 g, no waveguide, RMB 1,899 at launch. PConline called it the thinnest mass-produced pair it had seen, and SSPAI, who paid for his, praised the swappable battery and listed nine rough edges. For a camera and a voice assistant inside China, not for a developer: no portal exists yet.
