Alibaba launches Quark AI Glasses S1 and G1 in China, powered by Qwen

Alibaba launched its first AI glasses line in China on November 27, 2025: the flagship S1, starting at 3,799 yuan (about $536) with a dual-chip system built on Qualcomm's Snapdragon AR1 plus a low-power co-processor, and the lighter G1, starting at 1,899 yuan. Both run Alibaba's Qwen AI models and link to the Qwen app, offering on-the-go translation, AI meeting notes, and a shopping feature that photographs a product and shows its Taobao price. The launch is Alibaba's entry into a market where Meta held an estimated 80% global share at the time.
