For
- 52audio measured Bluetooth 5.3 holding a stable link about 16 meters through obstacles.
- It works standalone over Wi-Fi without a paired phone, IT之家 and 52audio both confirmed.
- Baidu declares a 12MP Sony camera shooting 4K photos and 1440p stabilized video.
- Baidu built prescription, photochromic and sunglass lens options into the frame at purchase.
- Zhihu called the multimodal AI assistant fast and capable at voice, image and translation.

Baidu's Xiaodu AI Glasses Pro carries no display: a Snapdragon AR1 chip drives a 12MP Sony camera shooting 4K photos and 1440p video, with five mics and two open-ear speakers, feeding Baidu's ERNIE cloud AI for translation and meeting transcription.
No public SDK or developer platform exists for it. Every AI feature runs through Baidu's own closed cloud and its Xiaodu companion app, which handles pairing and settings; no source checked for this review documents a way for outside developers to build for the glasses.
Three Chinese reviewers tested it. Zhihu called the assistant fast and capable at voice, image recognition and translation. 52audio liked that it works standalone over Wi-Fi without a phone, and measured Bluetooth 5.3 holding steady about 16 meters through obstacles. VRAR星球 praised the built-in prescription and sunglass lens options and the 39-gram build Baidu declares, though 52audio and a teardown both weighed their units at 47.6 grams instead.
Battery tells a similar story: Baidu claims up to 68 hours combined with the case, but 52audio measured 7.5 hours in its own test. All three reviews found only Chinese-English translation at launch, of 14 languages Baidu promised over the air. It sells only through Chinese stores, Tmall, JD.com and Baidu's Dumall, with no dollar or real price anywhere, and its price fell from a 2,299 CNY launch to 2,099 CNY by mid-2026.
Verdict
Baidu's Xiaodu Pro is camera-and-assistant glasses sold only in China: two independent reviews weighed it at 47.6 grams against Baidu's declared 39 grams, and all three found only Chinese-English translation working of the 14 languages promised. Baidu discloses no public SDK.
