Baidu launches Xiaodu Pro AI glasses at $322, its first built on a Chinese LLM

Baidu began selling its Xiaodu Pro AI glasses through JD.com and Tmall on November 11, 2025, priced at 2,299 yuan (about $322). The device, unveiled at the Baidu World 2025 conference, is billed as the company's first AI glasses powered by a domestic Chinese large language model (Ernie), offering first-person video capture, real-time Q&A, calorie and object recognition, audiovisual translation and smart reminders; it has no display, so it is not classified as AR glasses. The launch came as Chinese tech giants including Alibaba and ByteDance were also stepping up investment in AI wearables.
