Waveguide optical projector using Even Realities' HAOS (Holistic Adaptive Optical System): a micro-LED optical engine projects onto bonded, digitally-surfaced lenses (MR Series resin from Mitsui Chemicals) [OFFICIAL, evenrealities.com/g1]. Sold on two frame platforms with the same optics: 'Even G1 A' (round/Panto, launch frame, June 2024) and 'Even G1 B' (rectangular, added November 2024) [OFFICIAL, evenrealities.com/blogs/news/a-year-of-innovation-even-realities-2024].

Even G1 is a camera-free, Bluetooth-only pair of smart glasses that projects a monochrome green display, 640x200 at 25 degrees and 1000 nits, through a micro-LED waveguide Even Realities calls HAOS. It launched in June 2024 in a round G1 A frame, added a rectangular G1 B in November, and weighs 44 grams with two microphones and no speaker.
WIRED called the HUD projector hugely impressive and gave the glasses 6 out of 10 for a design people actually want to wear, and Engadget confirmed at CES 2025 that live translation, captioning and the teleprompter worked as advertised. ZDNet called the display the clearest daylight-readable micro-LED it had tested, avoiding any gadget feel, and Engadget noted a modular, repairable build with a battery-replacement service.
The price now sits at $499 on Even Realities' own configurator, down from the $599 every 2024 review cited, but WIRED found the touch controls glitchy, and ZDNet reported a charging case that sometimes failed to charge. There is no camera and no speaker at all.
The bigger limit is software: Even Hub, Even Realities' own developer SDK, targets only the newer G2, so nobody can build a third-party app for the G1. Its shipping list also leaves Brazil off the destinations. G1 fits someone who wants navigation, translation and teleprompting in an ordinary frame, not a developer or a buyer shipping to Brazil.
Verdict
Even G1 has no developer platform: Even Hub, Even Realities' own SDK, targets only the newer G2. WIRED and ZDNet praised the readable green display, but four reviews called the $499 price steep once prescription lenses are added. It suits someone wanting navigation in a plain frame, not a developer or a Brazil buyer.
