Halliday AI Glasses

Halliday's first AI glasses, shown at CES 2025 and funded on Kickstarter, used a camera-free, monocular 'DigiWindow' module that projects a green image into the wearer's upper-right field of view, controlled by a companion ring. They launched at US$489, settled at US$499 in the West, and opened Chinese pre-orders in July 2025 at CNY 2,499. By mid-2026 Halliday had replaced them in its own store with a successor.

Can a developer write an app for it? No: neither the official site nor any review documents a public SDK or developer program for these glasses. They are controlled only through the companion phone app and the control ring, with no sideloading path found.

Four independent reviews landed on a similar verdict. Engadget scored it 54/100, liking the light, 35g, camera-free frame; Android Police gave it 5/10, praising the comfortable fit and the free prescription lens. But Engadget and TechRadar both called the 3.6mm display hard to read, Android Police and TechRadar both panned the speakers as tinny or hollow, and Engadget and TechRadar both found the AI little more than a shallow chatbot. Android Police measured real battery life at just 3 to 5 hours against a claimed 12.

Anyone wanting a real display, usable audio or a documented way to build for the hardware should look elsewhere in the catalog.
