Notes

  1. 1.Video. 3K at 30 fps, with extra modes of 1080p at 60 fps (slow motion) and hyperlapse
  2. 2.Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax); the same chipset and "connectivity" as the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 according to UploadVR (the Gen 2 is already documented as Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax); the presence of Wi-Fi is confirmed specifically for the Adventurer by the Geeky Gadgets setup guide (used for automatic firmware updates), which does not name the generation or band
  3. 3.Water protection. IPX4 (quoted for the whole Meta Glasses line, Fury and Adventurer included, by a single source: The Next Web)

US$299 for both Fury and Adventurer at the US launch on June 23, 2026. The Starfire style costs US$399. Meta's German store listed them from €309 on 2026-09-05. No official sale in Brazil or China.

How the score is built

For

  • US$299 at launch, and CNET found the camera and battery on par with the pricier models.
  • Wired lists adjustable nose pads, temple tips and overextension hinges as comfort changes.
  • EssilorLuxottica swaps prescription lenses from -12 to +2.25 diopters, according to Wired.
  • Engadget puts it US$100 to 200 under the equivalent Ray-Ban Meta, with the same software.
  • Wired and Engadget both count 26 frame and lens combinations across the two shapes.

Against

  • Meta's Device Access Toolkit lists its supported glasses and this line is not among them.
  • Geeky Gadgets found no live streaming to Facebook or Instagram, unlike the first generation.
  • Engadget saw no meaningful functional update at launch beyond the lower price.
  • Wired's demo unit struggled to recognise voice commands in a noisy room.
  • Wired cites face recognition code found in the app, and CNET saw no privacy change.

Fury and Adventurer are one product in two frame shapes, on sale since 23/06/2026 at US$299. Meta declares 8 hours of battery plus up to 40 more from the folding case. Wired lists a 12 MP camera, 3K video at 30 fps and six microphones, Trusted Reviews puts the camera field at 100 degrees, and IPX4 comes from The Next Web alone. Geeky Gadgets cites 59 grams for Fury and 53 to 54 for Adventurer; Meta declares no weight.

On the app question the answer is a flat no. Meta's Device Access Toolkit documentation lists the glasses it supports, and this line is not on it. The hardware is not the obstacle: UploadVR reports the same chipset and the same connectivity as the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2, which is supported.

Reviewers received the launch as a price move. CNET found the camera and battery on par with the pricier Ray-Ban Meta models, and the nose pad of the Fury less comfortable than the Blazer Optics frame. Engadget saw not much functional update. Geeky Gadgets recorded a loss against the first generation: neither shape streams live to Facebook or Instagram.

Wired raised privacy again, citing face recognition code found in the app, and its demo unit stumbled on voice commands in a noisy room. Meta puts the Muse Spark AI in the United States and Canada at the start, and no source confirms official sale in Brazil or China.

Verdict

Two frame shapes at US$299 over one set of hardware: Wired lists a 12 MP camera, 3K video at 30 fps and six microphones, and Meta declares 8 hours of battery. It gets the Ray-Ban Meta capture for less, but Meta's toolkit does not list this line, so there is nothing here to write an app against.
