Our review

For

  • 1920x1080 per eye over a 46 degree field at 120 Hz, about 49 PPD on RayNeo's spec sheet
  • 68 g on the face, and the picture arrives over a single USB-C DisplayPort cable
  • RayNeo lists phone, Mac, Windows, Steam Deck, Switch and PlayStation as accepted hosts
  • Four Bang & Olufsen speakers on the frame, and prescription inserts made to order by Lensology
  • US$ 299 launch promotion against a US$ 329 list, and CNY 1,899 in China since 2026-05-30

Against

  • No published hands-on of this model: Mogura VR says it got no unit, only the GT Max and the iO
  • RayNeo's developer portal did not render in this research, and no source ties an SDK to the GT
  • It runs nothing on its own: with no USB-C DisplayPort host there is no picture at all
  • Brightness is 336 nits in the pinned mode; the up to 1,200 nits is the unpinned mode
  • No camera, no microphone and no battery figure appear in any official spec collected here

The RayNeo GT is a wired personal display: a 0.6 inch SeeYa dual-layer Micro-OLED per eye in birdbath optics, 1920x1080 each, 46 degrees, up to 1,200 nits at 120 Hz, in 68 g, per RayNeo. It sold in China from 2026-05-30 at CNY 1,899, then abroad at US$ 299 against a US$ 329 list.

Nobody independent has worn it: Mogura VR and GAME Watch, the outlets with early access, covered the GT Max and the iO, and Mogura VR writes that no base GT unit was supplied. Everything above is manufacturer specification, including the 336 nits RayNeo publishes for the pinned mode.

For a developer there is nothing confirmed to program on the glasses. The GT takes video over USB-C DisplayPort, and the Follow, Steady and Pinned 3DoF modes come from the RayNeo XR phone app, not from an API documented for the GT. RayNeo's portal did not render in this research, so the code you write runs on the host.

Verdict

No independent review of the base RayNeo GT was found up to 2026-09-06: Mogura VR writes it got no GT unit and tested the GT Max instead. What is documented is a 68 g cabled display, 1920x1080 per eye across 46 degrees and 336 nits pinned, at US$ 299. A screen for a console or a laptop, with nothing on it to program.
