Vidda (海信视像 / Hisense Visual) G11

Two numbers put the G11 at the top of a column in this catalogue. It weighs 26.5 g in titanium, which makes it the lightest full rim frame here, just under the Xiaomi Mijia Audio Glasses 2 at 27.6 g and well under the 33 to 50 g where most audio glasses land. And it carries six microphones, where the best of the rest, the Xiaomi, the Amazon Echo Frames and the Dymesty, carry four.

The more interesting number is the one the maker refused to round. Vidda publishes battery life in three tiers tied to how hard the glasses are used: about 48 hours light, 30 to 36 hours medium, 25 hours heavy, and it spells out what heavy means, two hours of calls, two hours of audio or video and eight hours or more of standby. The launch text says plainly that this is meant as a break with quoting endurance from a niche scenario. That is worth noting, because we hold every maker in this catalogue to the number it chose to print, and most of them printed the flattering one. Even the floor of Vidda's ladder, 25 hours, is beaten here only by the Dymesty at 48.

The rest of the sheet is a hole. There is no chip, no Bluetooth version, no speaker count, no water rating and no word on prescription lenses, in a product the maker describes as one that can truly replace ordinary glasses. Five months after the sale date its own release named, vidda.tv still carries the G11 only as a launch note in the news section, with no product page and no buy link. We found no independent hands-on review.

So the G11 is three good numbers with nothing behind them yet. If the six-microphone array and the 26.5 g hold up in someone's hands, this is the audio pair to beat in China at 1,299 yuan, sitting between the Xiaomi Mijia 2 at 1,199 and the Huawei Eyewear 2 at 1,699. Until then it is a press release with unusually honest battery figures.
