Xiaomi's first AI glasses sell 80,000 units in 15 days; company targets 5 million by 2027

Xiaomi launched its first AI Glasses in China in June 2025, reporting roughly 80,000 units sold within 15 days of launch, far exceeding an initial internal target of 300,000-500,000 units for the year. Founder Lei Jun set a longer-term goal of selling 5 million Xiaomi AI Glasses by 2027. Xiaomi increased quarterly R&D spending to RMB 7.8 billion, citing AI glasses as one of the new product categories receiving investment alongside chips and core AI technology.
