Xiaomi AI Glasses

Xiaomi's AI Glasses are display-less camera glasses built around a 12MP Sony IMX681 sensor that shoots 2K video at 30fps, a Snapdragon AR1 chip and five microphones, at 40 g without lenses per Xiaomi's spec. The Ghost Howls (Skarred Ghost) reports 8.6 hours of battery held up in daily use and liked the fit for Asian face shapes, but Geeky Gadgets found continuous video recording capped at 40 to 45 minutes.

There is no public SDK: Xiaomi manages the hardware entirely through its own companion app, 小米眼镜/Xiaomi Glasses, which pairs, updates firmware and pulls media, and no developer documentation for the glasses turned up on Xiaomi's own sites. Anyone wanting to build for this hardware ends up building for the app, not the glasses.

Both English reviews flag the AI assistant as the weak point: The Ghost Howls found it unreliable at object recognition and unusable while recording, and Geeky Gadgets called translation laggy and tuned mainly for Chinese. OFweek praised the 0.2 second electrochromic tint switch on the two tinted variants, but neither accepts prescription lenses; only the clear-lens version does, up to -6.00 D.

The three launch SKUs run CNY 1,999 to 2,999, sold only in China: mi.com/global returns a 404, so the USD 280 some outlets quote is a press conversion, not a retail price.
