Amazon unveils Amelia AI smart glasses for delivery drivers, targets Q2 2026 rollout

Amazon confirmed it is developing hands-free AI smart glasses, internally called Amelia, to help Delivery Associates navigate to doors, spot hazards and locate packages via a heads-up display, developed with input from hundreds of drivers. Amazon said the delivery-focused glasses could ship as early as Q2 2026 with an initial run of about 100,000 units, following ongoing trials in North America. Reporting on the same announcement said a consumer version, internally named Jayhawk, is slated for late 2026 or early 2027.
