Rokid plans Hong Kong IPO as China's AI glasses race intensifies

Chinese AI glasses maker Rokid was reported on April 11, 2026 to be preparing a Hong Kong stock exchange listing, with a filing possible as early as the end of April 2026. Rokid, founded in 2014 by Misa Zhu Mingming and Eric Wong, previously raised $228 million at a $1 billion valuation in a 2023 round. The planned IPO comes as Meta, Apple, Alibaba (via its Quark brand), Baidu, Xiaomi and Huawei all intensify competition in the AI/AR glasses market.
