IDC: global smart glasses shipments grew 74.1% YoY in Q3 2025, Meta share hits 75.7%

IDC reported that global smart eyewear shipments reached 4.296 million units in Q3 2025, a 74.1% year-over-year increase. Within that, audio/audio-recording glasses shipments hit 2.994 million units (+287.5% YoY) while AR/VR-type glasses fell to 1.302 million units (-23.2% YoY). Meta held 75.7% of the total market; among the rest of the top five, four were Chinese vendors: Xiaomi, RayNeo (Thunderbird), Xreal and Viture.
