Counterpoint: global smart glasses shipments grew 110% YoY in H1 2025, Meta over 70% share

Counterpoint Research reported that global smart glasses shipments grew 110% year-over-year in the first half of 2025, driven by strong demand for Ray-Ban Meta glasses and the entry of new players such as Xiaomi and TCL-RayNeo. Meta captured over 70% of shipment share during the period. The firm separately noted global VR headset shipments fell 14% year-over-year in H1 2025 even as AR smart glasses were poised for strong growth.
