Meta and EssilorLuxottica sold 7 million smart glasses in 2025, more than tripling 2024

EssilorLuxottica said it sold 7 million units of Ray-Ban and Oakley Meta smart glasses in 2025, more than triple the roughly 2 million units the two companies sold combined across 2023 and 2024. In its fourth-quarter report, the company said revenue surged 18% to €7.6 billion ($9 billion) for the holiday-quarter period, with Meta smart glasses cited as a key driver. EssilorLuxottica and Meta were reportedly discussing doubling annual production capacity to at least 20 million units by the end of 2026 to keep up with demand.
