IDC: smart glasses shipments surged 167% YoY in Q1 2026, Meta led with 69.2% share

IDC's Worldwide Quarterly Wearable Device Tracker, published June 15, 2026, reported that display-less smart glasses shipped about 2.25 million units in Q1 2026, up 167% year-over-year, while display-equipped eyewear grew 86% YoY in the same quarter. IDC put Meta's Q1 2026 share at 69.2%, with RayNeo (3.4%), Xiaomi (3.1%), Viture (2.5%) and Xreal (2.0%) rounding out the top five. IDC forecast full-year 2026 shipments of about 13.6 million units, rising to 27.3 million by 2030.
